Broker's Comments
This is a beautiful example of a 57ft Eco Friendly Hybrid narrowboat that runs happily on electric from the 2 x 500W solar panels and has the diesel engine as backup if needed in the winter.
The marina mooring is available subject to approval by the marina and the mooring is paid until April 2026!
The owners are still living on the boat but have bought a house and and are waiting for completion. They do have somewhere to stay if they needed to leave earlier.
In the cockpit area you have both a short tiller arm and a long tiller arm depending upon your needs, the electronic control panel for the electric motor as well as the standard engine controls for the diesel engine, bow thruster etc. You use the morse throttle control whether you are running on electric or diesel.
There is no gas on the boat, everything runs on electric other than the Kabola diesel heater for the central heating and the Beta 43 engine.
Coming down into the boat you have a cupboard on the port side with general storage and on the starboard side you have the electrics including the Victron 5Kw inverter/charger.
As I walked down into the boat I was struck by the really pleasing colour scheme and the airy feel to the boat which is painted with Lulworth Blue from Farrow and Ball that complements the light cream also used throughout the boat.
There is a good size well appointed galley with plenty of storage, a white ceramic sink and drainer, a built in dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge and separate freezer, a breakfast bar with two stools and Corian worktops.
There is an electric ceramic induction hob and an electric oven and grill. There is also duck hatches on both sides of the boat that also have opening glass windows as well as the standard blackout panels that can close for further security.
In the saloon you have a large double bed settee, various storage units, a 42in wall mounted smart TV, a grey radiator that the owners had retro fitted to compliment the finrads that run throughout the boat within the pipe work boxing.
Next you arrive in the good size shower room with a step in shower/bath tray with over head shower. There is an electric pump out macerator toilet, stainless steel towel rail and a vanity unit with a porcelain wash basin.
Finally you arrive in the double bedroom with a large double bed, various overhead storage units, under bed storage units and a small double wardrobe, fitted corner unit and access out into the cratch area.
The boat has double glazing throughout!
