Broker's Comments

Thierry, Boatshed Midicanals is pleased to offer for sale this Dutch Steel Motor Cruiser.

This 12.50m Dutch-built motor cruiser is a fine example of a traditional Bakdekkruiser - solid, comfortable and designed for both inland waterways and sheltered coastal cruising. Its classic lines are enhanced by a beautiful hull colour, giving the boat an elegant and distinctive look.

The aft deck offers a generous and highly usable living space, ideal for relaxing at anchor or enjoying slow cruising. With seating, a table, a bimini and a folding windscreen to reduce air draft, it is perfectly suited for European canals and rivers. Side decks are secured by full stainless-steel guardrails, making movement on deck safe and easy.

Inside, the layout provides surprising volume for this size of vessel: a bright raised saloon with panoramic views, a well-equipped galley, a forward cabin, an aft cabin with good privacy and additional convertible spaces, offering up to six berths in total.

A real highlight is the Dickinson wood-burning stove, which brings exceptional comfort, warmth and atmosphere on board, making the boat enjoyable all year round, together with the diesel heating system.

Mechanically, the boat is powered by the renowned DAF 575 – 120 hp engine, fitted with a keel cooling system - highly appreciated for inland cruising thanks to its reliability, low maintenance and absence of raw-water intake issues. A bow thruster adds welcome manoeuvrability, especially in tighter marinas or narrow canals.

Overall, this Dutch motor cruiser presents itself as a warm, reassuring and versatile boat, ideal for extended living aboard, long-distance inland cruising or a European waterways adventure, while remaining capable in sheltered coastal waters. A genuine and well-kept example of Dutch craftsmanship.
